Winter
Winter is almost a magical season, bitterly cold and yet very beautiful! The weather calls you outside with its beauty and yet the cold is biting at you minutes after you get outdoors. Your pet can also be vulnerable in this weather. Remember pets should not be left outside for long periods of time when the weather is very cold. If it is uncomfortable for us, it is most likely uncomfortable for them also. If they have to be left outside, adequate bedding and shelter should be provided away from draft, and use protective clothing whenever necessary. Wash your dog's feet frequently after walks to avoid irritation between the toes from the salt on the sidewalk
