Summer
Summer has finally arrived in Minnesota and it looks like we might be able to put away the rain coats and umbrellas.
Even as we dry out from the wet spring, it is important to remember that one year is equivalent to five to seven years in a pet's life and so scheduling their annual exam is the one opportunity we have all year to ensure they continue to to live a healthy life and it is also the key occasion to catch any changes to your pet's health early. Schedule your pet's annual exam, it's your commitment to their quality of life.
Warmer weather means parasites are back..
Warmer weather means that fleas, ticks and mosquitoes are back and ready to inconvenience us and harass our pets, making them uncomfortable and ill. We are committed to preventing parasitic infections and flea infestations and recommend that you stop by and pick up the appropriate products to protect your dogs and cats. There have been great strides in veterinary medicine in the prevention of fleas and ticks and our staff would gladly inform you about the different products available.
It is also time to test your dogs for heartworms before starting them on the heartworm preventative. Click on heartworm testing to learn more about why this is necessary.
